• LangRhet Summer Reading Groups: Call for Proposals

    by  • April 24, 2016 • Uncategorized • 0 Comments

Once again, Language and Rhetorical Studies will be sponsoring summer reading groups! We buy the books or coursepacks; you provide the camaraderie and endless insights into the academic works you’ve always wanted to (and know you should) read.

If you are interested in leading (or co-leading) a group to discuss readings related to language and/or rhetoric, please send a brief description of your proposed theme and readings to Anna Knutson (aknutson@umich.edu) and Elizabeth Tacke (etacke@umich.edu) by Sunday, May 15th. If your group is approved, we will then advertise your group in order to recruit members (and of course, you can also recruit your own members). You will be responsible for selecting texts, scheduling meetings, and providing LangRhet with an end-of-summer summary of your group’s activities.

We are the Graduate student administrators of the LangRhet website. Please feel free to contact us if you have ideas for events, discussion topics, or if you would like to write a blog post!
